
Lentils are one of the blessed foods mentioned in the Qur'an al-Kerim, and, according to the medicine of the Prophet Muhammad, lentils have the ability to "soften the belly" and "raise sympathy and humility" . And 'This is one of the most classic Turkish recipes, and usu soup is served as an appetizer, accompanied by warm bread and oiled.
Ingredients:
- 250 grams of dried red lentils
- 6 tomatoes
- half an onion, 1 carrot, 1 celery stalk , 2 potatoes
- 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- salt, parsley and olive oil to taste
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 tsp chilli oil
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Finely chop the onion, then fry in the oil ages, until they wilt. Join the tomatoes, salt, and after a few minutes, add the tomato sauce. Next add the lentils, then cut the potatoes in small cubes, then celery and carrot pieces. Then add the pepper and cumin, and season again with salt. After about 20 minutes to control the cooking of the potato, if it be soft, turn off the fire and pass all of the mills, for a velvety soft. Then add the chilli oil and lemon, and serve hot accompanied by croutons.
